Plus Size OOTD: Leopard & Mustard

Happy Sunday!
"And be ye kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." -Ephesians 4:32

It was pretty chilly this morning so I got to actually wear fall layers to church today! I'm pretty excited about that if you couldn't tell. Most of this outfit is thrifted. Like I said in my last outfit post, I love thrifting in person and online. Either way is just so much fun to me.

I really wanted to wear this cute leopard dress that I bought at K.A.R.M when I went out shopping with my sister. It's really soft and in great condition. I decided to throw on pops of mustard to give it an even more fall vibe. The scarf I threw on also came from K.A.R.M quite a few years ago. I love it. If you look closely you can see little strands of gold running throughout it. For the last and final mustard piece, I decided to grab this cute little bag that I purchased from Walmart a few weeks ago. I feel like it really completed the look.

These..boots....I am in love! I bought the same pair in both black and brown. Haha I'm a little obsessed with them. I purchased them from Amazon and they are wide width. They are a true wide width! I have small feet but they're chunky so I very much appreciate when I can find boots that don't squeeze my little sausage toes! They are comfortable enough to walk around in them all day so that's another huge plus.

I hope you all have a very good and productive week! Wish me luck at work tomorrow. The Sunday evening blues are already kicking in. ;)

Plus Size OOTD: October Days

If you've read my blog for any length of time you know that I love thrift stores with all of my heart! Today's look is mainly thrifted which I love. Not only does it save money when you thrift items, it gives life to someones otherwise discarded item. People donate for lots of reasons. I love to donate to K.A.R.M because the proceeds go to actually giving meals and shelter to the homeless. They are a non-profit organization so I always love to support those who are actually doing wonderful work.

In the world we live in, technology has become so prevalent in our every day lives. Because of this, you can now thrift online! I for one, love this concept. I work quite a bit and because of that I'm unable to go out as much as I like so I like the ease of being able to order online. When I first saw an online thrift store, you best believe I was incredibly excited! Wow. I just realized that I sound like I'm about to be talking about a company sponsoring my blog. Haha Nope. I just truly love thrifting both in person and online.

It's finally getting chilly down her in the south. Finally! I love rich, deep shades in the fall and winter time so I chose this gorgeous plaid cardigan to match this pretty top. The cardigan itself is pretty lightweight so if it still happened to be a little warmer outside, you wouldn't roast to death.

Do you like thrifting online? Have you ever tried it? Let me know!

Plus Size OOTD: And It Was All Yellow

Why is it still so hot? It's supposed to be fall weather! Oh well. At least I can pretend!

I love this adorable mustard colored top that I purchased from Shein. It's so cute and flowy. It's perfect for the fall time and perfect for the transitional season that the south is in right now. I love the self tie bows on each sleeve. How precious!

This bag is so cute. I bought it at K.A.R.M a couple of days ago and I love how vintage it feels. I have no clue if it is or not but how cool would it be if it was? :)

What's the weather like where you live? Let me know!

Plus Size OOTD: It's The Little Things

When you want to celebrate the fact that it's fall, but it's still boiling hot where you live, you throw a vest on. I purchased this olive green vest from Cato a few years ago and I love it so much! It's extremely versatile and can change your entire look. It's thin enough without adding an even hotter layer to your outfit. Down here in the south, it's still pretty toasty, but I wanted to give off a more fall vibe.

The dress I'm wearing is one of the most versatile pieces in my closet. I purchased it from Walmart a few months ago and I adore it! It goes with anything and is light and breathable to wear throughout the seasons. You can add layers to warm it up or take layers away to cool it down.

I think leopard print is kind of darling so I added a few pops of leopard to the outfit which also helped give it a fall vibe.

What's the weather like where you live?

Plus Size OOTD: FALLing Into Autumn

While I'm celebrating the fact that yesterday was the first day of Autumn, down here in the south, it still feels a bit like summer. Since it's still pretty warm down here I went with a fall-esque but cooling outfit.

If it's still warm where you live but you would love to embrace all of the Autumn goodness, I would suggest light layers. You still get the look and feel of fall without all of the extra heat! I chose to wear this adorable dress that I wore in the summer time. The only thing I did was add an olive green vest over it and it changed the entire look and feel of the outfit. That one tiny little step just stepped up your outfit game!

I kept my summer straw bag too. I feel like it can still be transitioned into the fall a little bit. It gives that earthy element that is prevalent in the fall months.

How do you like to transition a summer outfit into more of a fall one? Let me know!

Plus Size OOTD: Tied In A Bow

Let's talk about the star of the show here-- this adorable top with self ties. I love this one so much! It's so adorable how you can tie it in a bow on top of your shoulders. It gives such a feminine girly touch and I'm definitely a fan. I purchased this on clearance. Since I've purchased it, it's gone up in price a bit but it's still on the clearance scale if you'd like to pick one up! It's just a cute summer top.

I decided to throw on this adorable gingham patterned top under it so I can show off the bows that are tied. I purchased it from Walmart a couple of years ago. My favorite thing about it is the layered ruffle like sleeves. So. Stinking. Cute.

Because it's hot, I threw on some capris and sandals and called it good! I grabbed my favorite bag of the moment and I felt like it really tied the whole look together. I swear, this baby goes with everything which is why I'm so fond of it.

What are your plans this weekend? I hope you have a fabulous day!

Plus Size OOTD: Let Freedom Ring

Happy Sunday!

Since it is getting closer to Independence Day, I can't help but constantly wear red, white, and blue! There are just so many cute color combinations that you can wear. I actually have quite a few red, white, and blue things in my closet. I love the colors together.

I decided to wear this cute little number that I threw together for church today. Because I layered with a kimono, it wasn't an outfit that just made me sweat to death. Kimonos are great layering pieces in these hot summer months. They also add so much to an otherwise simple outfit. The versatility of these wonderful things are endless.

You'll be seeing a lot of patriotic looks from me until the 4th arrives! Do you have any plans with your family to celebrate? Let me know!

Plus Size OOTD: Polka Dots

Okay..this top...is super cute! I purchased it online at Shein and I am shocked that it actually fits me! With that website it's a hit or a miss so you never quite know what you're going to get. Reading the reviews is the best advice I can give you. That's what I do before I purchase any clothing from that website.

Polka dots are just so precious and summery to me so when I saw this red one I kind of fell in love with it. Don't tell my boyfriend! ;) Haha I love how this shirt is a peplum style which I love because it accentuates my waist and hides my stomach. It is what I'm most self conscious about and it lays beautifully and just skims over your stomach. It looks so beautiful and flattering when it is on. I think a lot of people would love this style of top.

As usual, I've been carrying this cute, versatile straw crossbody bag. I've worn it just about every day since I've purchased it. It's pretty roomy inside and it's just so cute and summery. It goes with pretty much anything you want to wear. I'm trying to downsize things in my life which means I need to make sure the things in my life that I have are versatile so they will work in any kind of situation. This bag is good for that. You can honestly carry it through all seasons. Although, winter is the season I'm unsure about. Maybe I can find a way to make it work! ;)

Thank you for taking the time to read my little old blog! I hope you have a very wonderful, blessed day!

Plus Size OOTD: Flower Showers

Happy Sunday!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:16 KJV

I wore this cute little number for church this morning and it was so nice and comfy! The top is what I'm mainly talking about. I purchased it from Shein and I absolutely love it. I was worried that it wasn't going to fit because as you know, the items are sold from China, and they tend to run a lot smaller over there. Whenever I order from that website it's always a hit or miss. The main thing that I have found to help me out is to really read the reviews and look at the pictures on there. People are so helpful about explaining all of the details about the garment or accessory or whatever you've purchased from there. So pay attention to the measurements and all of the reviews. It helps so much and will give you a better likelihood of actually being able to fit into whatever you have purchased.

Before you even ask, no, Shein is not sponsoring me. I do love getting accessories from their website though and I am always one hundred percent honest about everything I ever purchase. Whether a company is paying me or not. If they ever do I ALWAYS make a note of it and all opinions are mine. If I am told to lie about someone's product, I immediately pull out and quit working with that brand or company. The truth is always best.

It was a little gloomy out today so these pictures aren't the best but I love how the outfit turned out so I thought I would share it. I like gloomy weather too though. It's kind of calming and comforting. Maybe I'm just weird! ;)

I know, I know. I've worn this straw bag in every post. You know what? It goes with everything! It's the perfect purse to wear during the spring and summer time. Oh I just love it.

What's the weather like where you live? Let me know!
