I am so ready for Autumn. It couldn't come quicker! This blistering 90 plus degree heat is really squashing my creativity. I'm a layering kind of gal, and it really bums me out when it's even too hot for a lightweight vest. Oh well. It will be cool soon enough!
I apologize if it looks like something in the background of these pictures is photo-shopped. There was a big, ugly hose in the background, so I thought I'd edit it out. I'm not a professional editor! ;) These pictures are also taken in lower quality because I was busy on the run out the door and had to have someone take them with my cell phone!
I love this striped dress. I've had it for a long time and I'm going to wear it until it wears out. I bought it at Ross for $10 I believe. Don't quote me on that. You've probably seen this dress so much on the blog that you're sick of it, but I can't help but wear it often. It's so versatile and goes with a large array of things.
Not only are maxi dresses a staple for me in the boiling summer, but so are kimonos. I can't get enough of them! They make them in thousands of colors and prints/patterns. You should be able to find one that you love.
What are your summer wardrobe staples?

Maxi: Ross
Kimono: Goody's
Flip-Flops: Amazon

I really like your blog! I love the outfits you put together :) As a bigger lady myself, I get stuck in a yoga pants/over-sized tee routine. I've definitely been inspired to brighten up my wardrobe now!

I love this outfit!! I layer a lot of my outfits too which makes it very hot in the summer. The kimono is perfect and so pretty. I can't believe I don't have one. :( I love the colors you accented from the kimono. Beautiful!!!
