"...Maybe tomorrow the sun will return and the sky will be cloudless and deep blue. I will go to the south side of the ridge where the oak trees are lingering green and summer's dress, though worn, is still covering the fading beauty. I'll bask in the sun and reminisce and pretend that new beginnings can still be planned, that I only have to believe." heart emoticon
-Excerpt from Grandpa's book, The Way It Was: Kind Of.
As you may know from my previous post, my Grandpa passed away that morning. My family and I are still grieving over the loss of him, but rejoicing at where he's at. He's in Heaven now and I know I'll see him again one day. As much as I try to stray away from talking about personal things on this blog, I feel as though he should be mentioned. He passed away due to cancer eating up his entire body. My Grandpa was one of the wisest, smartest men that I know. He was a remarkable person that will be greatly missed.
While I am still incredibly sad, I'm glad to be back on the blog. While I am passionate about blogging about fashion, it is also a good distraction. Please pray for my family and I as the loss of Grandpa is difficult to accept. We could use all the prayers you can pray on our behalf.
It was warmer today, so I didn't need too many layers. I chose this aztec button up and purple scarf for my layering. I love the button up! I purchased it from Goodwill last year and I'm still obsessed. I believe it was just $2. I wanted to add some more color to my overall outfit, so I grabbed my thin, purple scarf and green crossbody. I love this color combination! I kept my jewelry fairly simple with gold accents.
I love comfortable, cheap, soft, worn button ups! What about you?
